Myanmar security forces kill over 80 protesters, monitoring group says

Details of the death toll in the town of Bago were not initially available because security forces piled up bodies in a compound and cordoned off the area, according to witnesses and domestic media. The Myanmar Now outlet quoted one protest organizer as saying, “It is like genocide.”
