SAN FRANCISCO, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Accenture Ltd (ACN.N), a leading technology consulting and outsourcing company, reported on Thursday lower quarterly earnings as expenses rose.
Net income for the company’s fiscal fourth quarter ended Aug. 31 fell to $316.8 million, or 50 cents per share, from 497.2 million, or 56 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue before reimbursements advanced to $5.11 billion from $3.97 billion.
Analysts, on average, were expecting earnings before certain items of 48 cents per share and revenue of $4.89 billion, according to Reuters Estimates. The company in June had forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $4.8 billion to $5 billion. (Reporting by Philipp Gollner, editing by Tim Dobbyn)
