French group Alstom wins Dubai tram order

PARIS, April 29 (Reuters) - French power plant and high speed train maker Alstom (ALSO.PA) said on Tuesday that a consortium it is part of had won a contract to build a new tramway in Dubai.

The first phase of the Al Safooh tramway project represents a contract worth over 500 million euros ($783.1 million), of which around 280 million euros is for Alstom, the French group said.

Alstom won the contract as part of the ABS consortium, which also includes the companies Besix and Serco (SRP.L).
