MELBOURNE, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Ansell Ltd (ANN.AX), the world’s top rubber gloves maker, is looking for new growth opportunities in its gloves and condoms businesses to help offset weak demand for gloves from car manufacturers, its chief executive said on Monday.
“We’re going out on the prowl for new strategic growth opportunities,” Chief Executive Doug Tough said at a briefing.
“We will continue our strategy of looking for good bolt-on acquisitions.”
He said the company was assuming that demand from the automotive market would eventually return, but was not counting on a recovery any time soon. (Reporting by Sonali Paul)
