Argentina to tax foreign assets abroad, purchases of foreign currencies- econ minister

BUENOS AIRES, Dec 17 (Reuters) - Argentina will tax financial assets abroad and impose a 30% tax on the purchase of foreign currencies, Economy Minister Martin Guzman said on Tuesday.

The government will also suspend the retirement adjustment system for 180 days. Argentina will seek to modify taxes to agricultural exports, Guzman said in a press conference to announce measures to combat Argentina’s economic crisis.
