Argentina's Fernandez says to implement "massive" credit system to offer lower rates

BUENOS AIRES, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Argentina’s new President Alberto Fernandez said on Tuesday he planned to implement a “massive” credit system to offer lower rates.

Fernandez, speaking from his inauguration ceremony in Congress, inherits a distressed economy with inflation running at an annual rate of above 50% and sky-high interest rates. (Reporting by Hugh Bronstein, writing by Cassandra Garrison)
