Australia c.banker sees no bubble in housing market

BRISBANE, Oct 8 (Reuters) - Australia does not have a bubble brewing in its domestic property market, in part because the pace of growth in house prices has been matched by the pace of gains in household incomes, a top central banker said on Friday.

Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Deputy Governor Ric Battellino made the remarks after delivering a speech in which he said Australian interest rates needed to rise at some. (Reporting by Amy Pyett; Editing by Ed Davies)
