Austrian finance minister Spindelegger to resign - Die Presse

VIENNA, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Austrian Deputy Chancellor and Finance Minister Michael Spindelegger is resigning after persistent criticism from his People’s Party, junior partner in the ruling coalition, the newspaper Die Presse said on Tuesday, citing government sources.

The finance ministry had no comment on the report ahead of a snap news conference the ministry called for 0700 GMT. (Reporting by Michael Shields; Editing by Louise Ireland)
