U.S. Trustee objects to EV Energy's Ch. 11 plan amid call for examiner

Oil and natural gas producer EV Energy Partners LP’s plan to exit bankruptcy came under fire on Tuesday from the government’s bankruptcy watchdog, who criticized its provisions for releases and paying professionals.

The U.S. Trustee in court papers in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware argued the release terms are too broad and would bind impaired creditors who did not consent to them.
