Gawker's bankruptcy once again a venue for First Amendment fight

Gawker Media LLC’s bankruptcy case is once again becoming the setting for a fight over freedom of speech and defamation claims.

On Monday, Judge Stuart Bernstein signed an order allowing 21 media organizations to appear and argue that the company’s liquidation plan should shield a journalist from a lawsuit against one of its surviving websites.
