Push to identify creditor conflict in PR bankruptcy amid a million claims

In Puerto Rico’s debt restructuring, even routine matters are complicated given the sheer scale of the case.

That was clear from a court filing by Paul Hastings on Friday, in which the law firm spelled out the difficulties in identifying potential conflicts as counsel to the official committee of unsecured creditors - a group representing more than 1 million claimants in the island’ bankruptcy-like case.
