Odds seen favoring bankrupt Suniva in its bid for trade relief

Suniva Inc may be on the cusp of getting tariffs or other trade relief imposed on rival imports, measures the bankrupt solar panel maker sees as critical for its survival.

Citing an unnamed official in President Donald Trump’s administration, the website Axios on Friday reported odds are he will approve some form of relief if the U.S. International Trade Commission finds later this month the U.S. solar industry’s manufacturers have been seriously hurt by cheaper imports, as Suniva contends.
