Maleenont family selling shares in Thai BEC World

BANGKOK, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Thailand’s Maleenont family is selling shares in broadcaster BEC World Pcl (BEC.BK), operator of free-to-air Channel 3, to raise up to 4.1 billion baht ($136 million), IFR reported on Monday.

The base deal size is 97.35 million shares, with an option to raise that by 13.9 million. Guidance range is 33.00-36.75 baht per share, a discount of up to 10.2 percent to the stock’s closing price on Monday.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Phatra Securities are joint placing agents, IFR reported.

Vichai Maleenont is chairman and chief executive of BEC World. The family together holds about 56.6 pct of the company. (Writing by Jason Szep; Editing by Alan Raybould)
