Boeing in talks on 787 delivery timeline with Korean Air

SEOUL, Jan 19 (Reuters) - U.S. aircraft and defence firm Boeing (BA.N) is in talks with South Korea’s Korean Air Lines (003490.KS), one of its 787 Dreamliner customers, on its delivery schedule, the head of its Korea unit said on Wednesday.

“Those discussions are ongoing with Korean Air,” Patrick Gaines, president of Boeing Korea, told reporters on Wednesday.

Boeing’s initial delivery of the long-delayed 787 Dreamliner will come in the third quarter, clearing up concerns about the schedule after a November electrical fire on a test flight threw the timing into doubt. [ID:nN18124773] (Reporting by Ju-min Park; Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
