RIGA, March 10 (Reuters) - Latvian airline airBaltic ordered eight new Bombardier (BBDb.TO) Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft, it said on Monday, with a list price of more than $25 million each.
AirBaltic, in which Scandinavian airline SAS (SAS.ST) has 47.2 percent and the Latvian state has 52.6 percent, is leasing the new aircraft, as well as two Boeing (BA.N) 757-200s and three Boeing 737-300s.
The Bombardier deal includes eight firm orders and four options, airBaltic said. Deliveries will start in November 2009 and would replace Fokker 50s. (Reporting by Patrick Lannin; Editing by David Holmes)
