RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Brazilian ruling party candidate Dilma Rousseff maintained her lead over opposition challenger Jose Serra ahead of a presidential runoff vote on Oct. 31, an opinion poll showed on Thursday.

Rousseff had 50 percent of voter support compared with Serra’s 40 percent in the survey by polling firm Datafolha, which was published by the online edition of the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper.
