April 8 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index fell at open on Monday, struggling to hold on to its seven-month highs, as financial shares declined.
* At 9:30 a.m. ET (1330 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX Composite index was down 23.1 points, or 0.14 percent, at 16,373.05.
