TORONTO, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index opened lower on Thursday, hurt by slips among heavyweight financial and energy stocks.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was down 21.2 points, or 0.14 percent, at 15,061.01 shortly after the open. Seven of its 10 main sectors were in the red. (Reporting by Alastair Sharp; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
