Dec 19 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index rose slightly in early trade on Thursday, helped by gains in energy stocks on stronger oil prices and continued strength in construction company SNC-Lavalin’s shares.
* At 9:37 a.m. ET (14:37 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 6.72 points, or 0.04%, at 17,038.7.
