TORONTO, Jan 3 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index rose on Tuesday, with the heavyweight energy and financial groups leading broad-based gains as oil rose.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 115.67 points, or 0.76 percent, at 15,403.26, shortly after the open. Nine of the index’s 10 main groups were higher. (Reporting by Fergal Smith)
