TORONTO, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index ended higher on Thursday, breaking a six-day losing streak as gains for its heavyweight financial sector offset continued weakness among energy stocks.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed up 56.89 points, or 0.36 percent, at 15,935.37. Seven of its 10 main sectors ended in positive territory. (Reporting by Alastair Sharp; Editing by Dan Grebler)
