CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on positive China data

TORONTO, July 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index
opened higher on Wednesday as positive economic data from China
helped boost commodity prices and shares in the natural resource
sectors.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 96.23 points, or 0.64 percent, at 15,177.55
shortly after the open.
