(Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index opened higher on Friday, as signs of improving U.S.-China relations and higher oil prices boosted confidence.
* At 9:30 a.m. ET (1330 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 124.48 points, or 0.84%, at 14,958.17.
