About 30 killed in landslide at Chad gold mine

N’DJAMENA, Sept 26 (Reuters) - A landslide at a gold mine in northwestern Chad has killed about 30 people, the defence minister said on Thursday.

Defence Minister Mahamat Sala told Reuters that the mine, which is located near the Libyan border, collapsed early on Tuesday and that more victims might still be buried in the rubble. (Reporting by Madjiasra Nako; Writing by Juliette Jabkhiro; Editing by Aaron Ross and Toby Chopra)
