Chile's LAN says to spend $3.2 bln on 32 new planes

SANTIAGO, July 12 (Reuters) - Chile’s dominant airline LAN LAN.SNLFL.N said on Thursday it had approved an investment of $3.2 billion to buy 32 new Boeing 787 Dreamliner long-haul planes to be integrated into its fleet between 2011 and 2016.

The company, one of Latin America’s leading airlines, said it had also taken out an option to buy a further 10 Dreamliners between 2017 and 2018.
