China signs contracts with Total, Areva, Airbus

PARIS, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Total (TOTF.PA), Areva CEPFi.PA and Airbus EAD.PA have signed a series of business deals with Chinese power and airline firms, the French President’s office said Thursday.

    Chinese President Hu Jintao and his counterparts signed a series of deals and his counterparts signed the deals during a three day visit to France aimed at solidifying economic and political cooperation.

    China signed four contracts with EADS EAD.PA subsidiary Airbus, including a deal with China Eastern, while France’s Areva CEPFi.PA has agreed to build a nuclear fuel treatment plant and supply uranium. (Reporting by John Irish; Editing by Hans Peters)
