Kazakhstan to suspend Iran flight routes due to coronavirus

NUR-SULTAN, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan plans to suspend flights to and from Iran from March 1 because of the spread of coronavirus in the Gulf nation, Kazakhstan’s chief sanitary doctor, Zhandarbek Bekshin, said on Wednesday.

Kazakhstan will also reduce the number of flights to and from South Korea, another country with a large number of coronavirus cases, he told a briefing. (Reporting by Tamara Vaal; Writing by Olzhas Auyezov; Editing by Tom Hogue)
