China says to let foreign investors set up hospitals

BEIJING, Aug 27 (Reuters) - China will allow foreign investors for the first time ever to set up hospitals wholly owned by them in seven cities or provinces, the Chinese trade ministry said on Wednesday.

One of the hospitals has already been established in the Shanghai free trade zone, the Ministry of Commerce said in an online statement. (Reporting by Shao Xiaoyi and Koh Gui Qing; Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
