Alaska Supreme Court to hear arguments in youth climate case

Alaska youth activists on Wednesday will urge the state’s highest court to revive a lawsuit calling on the state to curb its thriving fossil-fuel industry in order to combat climate change.

A five-justice panel of the Alaska Supreme Court is scheduled to hear an hour of oral arguments at which 16 Alaskan youth will argue that state Superior Court Judge Gregory Miller should have allowed their case to proceed on constitutional grounds.
