UPDATE 1-Costco to resume stocking Coca-Cola drinks

* Coke products to be back in Costco stores by Monday

* Coke shares up 1.2 pct; Costco down 0.3 pct

NEW YORK, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Coca-Cola Co KO.N and Costco Wholesale Corp COST.O resolved a pricing dispute that led the retailer to halt orders of the company's soft drinks, the companies said on Thursday.

“Effective this Monday, Coca-Cola products will be on our shelves,” said Costco CFO Richard Galanti on a conference call with analysts, following the company’s earnings release. [ID:nN10151792]

The resolution, which was first reported via Twitter by industry newsletter Beverage Digest, comes less than a month after media reports that a pricing dispute between the soft drink maker and the wholesale club operator erupted, with the result that some stores were running out of Coca-Cola drinks.

Coke spokesman Scott Williamson confirmed that Coca-Cola products continue to be listed at Costco stores.

“Our program aligns Coca-Cola’s brand and package offerings with the needs of Costco’s members in a way that is fair and equitable for both Costco and Coca-Cola,” he said.

Coke shares were up 1.2 percent at $58.53 on the New York Stock Exchange, while Costco shares were down 0.3 percent at $58.47 on the Nasdaq. (Reporting by Martinne Geller)
