Wall Street's main indexes rose on Wednesday as fears of a global economic
slowdown were calmed by robust economic data from China, while easing tensions
in Hong Kong added to an upbeat mood.
At 12:44 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.77% at
26,320.21. The S&P 500 was up 0.87% at 2,931.58 and the Nasdaq Composite
was up 1.01% at 7,953.821.
