NEW YORK, May 7 (Reuters) - Robert Verrone, a co-head of Wachovia Corp's WB.N Real Estate Americas unit, is expected to leave the bank within the next week, the Wall Street Journal said on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Though the exact reason for his departure from the bank was unclear, the exit was “a perfectly amicable split,” the report said, citing a person familiar with the situation.
Verrone was former head of Real Estate Capital Markets Americas at the North Carolina-based bank, which he joined in 1995, according to its website.
Wachovia officials were not available immediately for comment.
