SHANGHAI, June 8 (Reuters) - Wahaha, a major Chinese beverage maker, said on Friday it would not accept Danone's DANO.PA choice of a chairman for the two companies' joint ventures, which have become the focus of a bitter legal dispute.
The previous chairman, Zong Qinghou, resigned on Thursday, accusing the French food group of harming his reputation, and Danone said the vice chairman of Wahaha Joint Ventures, Emmanuel Faber, would temporarily replace him.
Danone has filed a lawsuit in California accusing is partner of breach of contract by using the Wahaha brand on products sold outside the joint venture.
