Courts weigh what to do with summer interns amid pandemic

Judge Douglas Nazarian of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, who teaches at the University of Maryland, said he has in recent weeks spoken with anxious law school students who aren’t sure of what the coronavirus pandemic means for their career plans.

Nazarian wanted to provide some certainty where he could: he told the two law school students he’d chosen as summer interns that the program was still on.
