Cycling-Spanish federation lifts Contador's one-year ban

MADRID, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Three-time Tour de France winner Alberto Contador has been cleared to compete after the Spanish cycling federation accepted his appeal and overturned a provisional one-year doping ban, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old Spaniard, who faced being stripped of his 2010 Tour title, was suspended in August after testing positive for a small amount of the banned anabolic agent clenbuterol during last year’s race.
