MADRID, May 15 (Reuters) - Spanish plastic surgery firm Corporacion Dermoestetica DERM.MC announced on Friday a first quarter loss of 1.55 million euros ($2.12 million) versus a 167.05 million euro profit a year ago, as demand fell.
Sales fell 39 percent to 10.3 million euros
Profit in the first quarter of 2008 was also boosted by the sale of its UK business Ultralase.
The firm posted a loss before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of 2.69 million euros versus EBITDA of 12,000 a year ago. ($1=.7349 Euro) (Reporting by Elisabeth O’Leary; Editing by Hans Peters)
