ABU DHABI - U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew visits United Arab Emirates. MOSCOW - Russian Central Bank holds meeting on interest rates - 1000 GMT. SANTIAGO - Central Bank of Chile will release its latest quarterly Monetary Policy Report (IPoM), which could update growth forecasts for 2014 and give possible hints on the direction of monetary policy - 2000 GMT.

TUESDAY, JUNE 17

MUMBAI, India - Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan will speak at a banking conference. Rajan will speak on Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission report which had suggested taking away some functions from the central bank like management of capital flows, more involvement of government officials in a monetary policy committee, taking away debt management function from RBI and handing it over to the finance ministry. SEOUL - OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) will release the latest Economic Survey of Korea. The survey assesses the country’s ongoing rebound from a recent period of subdued growth as well the policies needed to sustain economic expansion - 0900 GMT. WARSAW - National Bank of Poland holds Monetary Policy Council meeting (Interest rate announcement not expected). JEDDAH - U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew visits Saudi Arabia. PRAGUE - Czech Central Bank (CNB) Governor Miroslav Singer to hold a news conference on financial stability 2013/2014 - 0800 GMT.
