3 kidnapped Turks in Afghanistan released -formin

ANKARA, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Three Turkish citizens kidnapped in Afghanistan last month have been released and are due to return to Turkey this week, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

It was not immediately clear whether the released Turks included two engineers kidnapped in Afghanistan late last month.

Amid rising violence in Afghanistan, kidnapping has become a lucrative business and scores of locals and foreigners have been abducted by criminals or Taliban-linked militants in recent years. (Editing by Charles Dick)
