LONDON (Reuters) - British Energy’s 1,180 -megawatt Sizewell B nuclear power reactor was shut down around midday on Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the company said.
“It was unplanned,” the spokeswoman said of the reactor in southeast England.
She said it was to early to give details about why the country’s newest nuclear power plant was stopped.
Sizewell has two power generation turbines running off one reactor.
