LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Hugh Grant and his society girlfriend Jemima Khan have ended their relationship, Grant’s publicist said on Friday.
“Hugh and Jemima have decided to split amicably,” publicist Robert Garlock said, confirming the first report by People Magazine.
Romantic comedy star Grant, 46, best known for “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” had been dating Khan, 33, for about three years but had recently dodged questions about whether marriage was on the cards.
Garlock said the decision to split happened in the last few days but gave no details.
Khan, daughter of billionaire businessman Sir James Goldsmith, began dating Grant after the end of her marriage to Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan.
News of the split came days after the opening in London and Los Angeles of Grant’s new romantic comedy “Music and Lyrics” with co-star Drew Barrymore.
Grant, who has never been married, was famously arrested with a prostitute in Hollywood in 1995 while dating then longtime girlfriend and model Elizabeth Hurley.
