LONDON (Reuters) - Lily Allen shot to number one on the UK singles chart Sunday while Bruce Springsteen pipped Franz Ferdinand to the top of the album chart, the Official Charts Company said.

Allen’s single ‘Fear’ knocked ‘Just dance’ by Lady Gaga from the peak, nudging Kid Cudi vs. Crookers down to number three with ‘Day ‘n’ nite’.

Springsteen was the highest new entry on the album chart, beating Franz Ferdinand’s ‘Tonight’ to number one with ‘Working on a dream’.
