LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A 33-year-old woman who was arrested near the Malibu home of actor John Cusack over the weekend was charged on Wednesday with stalking the “High Fidelity” star.

Emily Leatherman, 33, was also charged with misdemeanor counts of petty theft and disobeying a restraining order, which was obtained against her by Cusack in 2007.

She has been held in custody on $500,000 bail since her arrest on Sunday and was expected in court for an arraignment later on Wednesday.

Leatherman faces a maximum of three years in prison if convicted. Sheriff’s deputies took her into custody near Cusack’s home in the posh seaside community of Malibu.

Cusack, 42, is best known for a string of 1980s films including “Sixteen Candles” and “Say Anything” and for “High Fidelity” in 2000.
