EDF misses 2019 French nuclear power production target

PARIS, Jan 10 (Reuters) - French state-controlled utility EDF said on Friday that its 2019 nuclear electricity generation in France fell 3.5 percent year on to 379.5 terawatt hour (TWh), missing its revised production target of between 384 TWh and 388 TWh.

EDF attributed the drop in nuclear power generation to a high volume of nuclear reactor outages, as nuclear power output tumbled in the final month of 2019 by 15.2% to 33 TWh. (Reporting by Bate Felix; Editing by Benoit Van Overstraeten)
