CAIRO, April 12 (Reuters) - Egypt plans to eliminate all energy subsidies to industries by the end of 2011, Industry Minister Rachid Mohamed Rachid said on Monday.
“By the year 2011, we will be able to have zero subsidies to all the industries,” Rachid said at a news conference, adding that the subsidies would be phased out by the end of 2011 in line with a plan initially put in place in 2007. (Reporting by Alexander Dziadosz, writing by Patrick Werr)
