Israeli PM pleased by Egyptian treaty announcement

JERUSALEM, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday welcomed an announcement by Egypt’s military that Cairo would continue to honour its international treaties.

“The longstanding peace treaty between Israel and Egypt has greatly contributed to both countries and is the cornerstone for peace and stability in the entire Middle East,” Netanyahu said in a statement. (Writing by Ari Rabinovitch, Editing by Ralph Boulton)
