Q&A: Berkeley law prof Dan Farber on challenges facing youth climate suit

A federal appeals court will soon decide whether a group of young activists who have sued the U.S. government over climate change can have their day in court.

The 2015 lawsuit, filed in Oregon federal court, claims the government ignored the perils of climate change, violating plaintiffs’ constitutional rights to due process and its duty to protect public resources.
