UK working on post-Brexit carbon trading scheme -minister

LONDON, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Britain is working to establish a domestic carbon emissions trading system post Brexit which it hopes will be linked to the existing EU scheme, energy minister Claire Perry told members of parliament’s upper house on Wednesday.

Perry said a consultation on plans for the scheme would be published in April and the government would work on setting up the necessary systems for the trading scheme to come into effect from January 2021. (Reporting by Susanna Twidale; editing by Jason Neely)
