Express Scripts to buy eviCore healthcare for $3.6 bln

Oct 10 (Reuters) - Pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts said it would buy privately held eviCore healthcare for $3.6 billion to gain access to the company’s medical benefits management platform.

The acquisition is expected to add to the adjusted diluted earnings per share in the first full year of operation, Express Scripts said on Tuesday.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2017, the company said.
