A photograph shared by social media users does not show former Balenciaga stylist Lotta Volkova holding two dolls covered in what appears to be fake blood, but an unnamed model during China Fashion Week 2016.

A spokesperson for the stylist told Newsweek (here) that Volkova has “not worked with Balenciaga or its team since 2018 and she has in no way participated in the brand's recent Instagram or advertising campaigns”.
