A screenshot shared online that appears to show a CNN story entitled: “Officials claim Ezra Miller has connections to infamous ‘leftist’ cult leader Gazi Kodzo” is doctored. No such article is available on CNN’s website, and a spokesperson for the media company said that the image had been fabricated.

A tweet sharing the image, along with the description: “the ezra miller rabbit hole just keeps getting deeper” garnered more than 3,850 likes and 225 retweets in less than 24 hours (here.

The supposed story refers to actor Ezra Miller and Gazi Kodzo, the leader of a communist group called Black Hammer.

However, no such headline was posted to CNN (shorturl.at/sxy27) and a CNN spokesperson denied that the image showed a genuine article from their website.

“This is a fabricated image and not a real article or headline,” Emily Kuhn, a spokesperson for CNN told Reuters by email.
